The EPP processes personal data in compliance with the European Data Protection Directive (95/46/EC). To ensure that the information the EPP holds is accurate and up-to-date, participants and non-participants will notify the EPP as soon as possible regarding to relevant changes in contact details.
From participants, non-participants (workshop en/or training attendees), providers of job vacancies, and subscribers to round table sessions, the EPP will collect data that is necessary for the administration of the event or subscription. Participants may submit, at their own option, further information for their personal profile.
Contacts of the EPP may from time to time receive information about EPP initiatives. The EPP collects and stores potential subscriber/customer names and contact information. Also, the EPP collects personal data about the people who write articles and pricing news for EPP, or participate in the workshops or training programs.
The EPP will not, without prior approval, supply names and addresses to any third party except when (1) the participant / attendee subscribes to a journal of one of the EPP partners and such transfer is necessary to ensure continued receipt of the journal(s), or (2) the EPP is required to do so by law.
If an EPP-participation plan is discontinued, the EPP will erase all personal information from the EPP database during the course of the year following the end of the subscription period, unless the EPP receives permission to retain the data for marketing purposes.
When visiting the EPP's web pages, tracking technologies may record information about visits automatically. This information does not identify visitors personally. The EPP automatically collects and stores only the following information about the visit:
- The Internet domain (for example, 'domain.com' or 'isp.com' in case a private Internet access account is used) and IP address (a number, that is automatically assigned to the computer whenever surfing the web) from which the visitor accesses the EPP's website;
- The type of browser software and operating system used to access EPP's site;
- The pages entered, visited and closed on EPP's site and if the visitor is linked to the server's domain from another website, the address of that website.
The EPP uses this information to identify click stream patterns, to improve the website and to learn about the number of visitors to the website and the types of technology visitors use. The EPP only uses this information to ensure that her web pages stays compatible with the latest browsers and systems and thereby ensures that the pages appeal to a wider audience. The EPP does not track or record information about individuals and their visits.
