Pricing at global business-to-business companies is complex. It involves multiple businesses, regions, channels, segments, and functions, including sales, production, finance, operations, marketing and executive management. Our ultimate goal during this workshop is simple: help businesses get insights on how to make better pricing decisions, and more money, on every deal.
The starting point when considering your pricing software is to get to know your organisation´s :needs, goals, aspirations, strengths, opportunities for development, and constraints.
Because Deloitte recently received many questions on pricing technology (more analytics to discover inconsistencies?; more granularity on pricing?; need for the right info, at the right time, distributed to different points of contact?) we decided to dedicate an ePP workshop to why choosing the right pricing technology component is so important to be able to capture the value that is still on the table for your company.
Companies that can leverage their data analysis capabilities have a competitive edge in sales negotiations and marketing effectiveness. The same applies for the pricing space. The power of pricing comes from a good pricing strategy, translated in optimized price setting and swift price execution. In general this mix will only be successful when a technology component enables this. In its May 21 report Forrester research recommended Pricing & Profitability Management Technology as a key driver for value: “ CIOs: Suggest Pricing and Promotions Technology to Drive Value. ”.
But the key question remains: What price technology is needed to capture the value for my company?

Björn Willemsen is an active member of Deloitte’s global pricing practice and one of the driving forces behind Deloitte’s European Pricing Centre of Excellence.
Björn Willemsens is a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting Belgium and has over 10 years of consulting experience in the automotive and manufacturing industries and he acts as a lead member of the European Pricing and Profitability Management Community within Deloitte. His key areas of expertise include pricing and profitability management, customer management strategy and sales force management.
